Aquarius - Studying Ocean Salinity
The Aquarius/SAC-D spacecraft is a collaborative effort between NASA and Argentina's space agency. This Earth orbiter will measure the changes in the salt levels of the world's oceans.

On June 10th 2011 this satellite successfully launched. Aquarius' observations will help uncover how salinity variations influence ocean circulation and help trace the flow of freshwater around the Earth.
