This film shows the terrifying images captured by the Russian filmmaker Vladimir Shevchenko on scene at Chernobyl those dreadful days in April 1986. Shevchenko later died suffering from the radiation he exposed himself to compiling this footage.

What a timing for this to be posted excellent find Tibor and a good post nova. This guy paid with his life to show the world what happens when these plants get out of control and here we are 25 years later building more nuclear plants.

Irony I "stumbled" across this video just days prior to the worst, unprecedented multiple nuclear reactor crisis, the world has ever seen. This is currently the worst nuclear disaster since Chernobyl which occurred April 26,1986, a quarter century ago.
